Under the Programme of Technology Up – gradation & Productivity Enhancement of Foundry Industry, UNIDO has selected two clusters from India, Belgaum Foundry Cluster is the one of them and first in Karnataka. The project has started from February 2012 and 25 foundries from Belgaum are selected in this Project.
As a part of UNIDO – ICAMT’s Project for Technology Up gradation & Productivity Enhancement, UNIDO has organized Technology Mission to St. Louis, Missouri and Castexpo 2013 during 5th to 11th April 2013.
Total 20 foundrymen from Belgaum are visiting U.S.A. to attend Castexpo 2013 Fair. The objective of this mission is to witness latest technology advances in foundry technology & in manufacturing process of foundry.
In addition they will also visit foundries in U.S.A. to enhance business opportunities between two countries through buyer – seller meetings.
This programme will help in making small and medium enterprises to be technologically competitive. Belgaum Foundry Cluster has taken initiative & efforts to make this mission success by making participation of 20 delegates from various foundries in Belgaum.
This is first time such a large number of delegates from Belgaum Industry are visiting U.S.A.
Twenty delegates visiting U.S.A. includes Shri. Ashok Sadalage, Mr. Hemant Latthe, Mr. Parag Bhandare, Mr. Gautam Bhandare, Mr. Maruti Kono, Mr. Vijay Muchandikar, Mr. Vijay Lengade, Mr. Santosh Porwal, Mr. Sachin Sabnis, Mr. Vikram Sainuche, Mr. Shailesh Mangale, Mr. Sanchit Kittur, Mr. Rahul Haibatti, Mr. Kiran Vernekar, Mr. Pradeep Kulkarni, Mr. Shivanand Astekar, Mr. Satish Nerlekar, Mr. Aditya Parikh, Mr. Sourabh Parikh and Mr. Gaurav Pandit.
