Vaman Acharya, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board to Sand Reclamation Plant, Belgaum Foundry Cluster and abandoned quarry site for disposal of foundry waste at Ganeshpur road, Hindalga. Hon’ble Chairman Shri. Vaman Acharya along with Environmental officer, Belgaum Shri. I.H.Jagadeesh visited Sand Reclamation Plant of Belgaum Foundry Cluster and abandoned quarry site for disposal of foundry waste at Ganeshpur, Hindalga for inspection of both the places on Tuesday 19th February 2013. At Sand Reclamation Plant Mr. Hemant Latthe, Hon. Secretary, Belgaum Foundry Cluster welcomed Chairman and foundrymen. Hon. Chairman inspected full plant, machinaries and expressed his satisfaction about operation and results of reclaimed sand. In his speech he told that pollution and dust inside factory can be minimized by adopting modern pollution control equipments. Afterwards he appealed foundrymen to approach Karnataka State Pollution Control Board for any problem faced by them without any hesitation and promised to solve problems. After visit of Sand Reclamation Plant, Chairman visited abandoned quarry at Ganeshpur road, Hindalga and inspected site for disposal of foundry waste and informed all foundrymen to dispose their solid waste generated only at identified quarry and to protect beauty of Belgaum city. He thanked Belgaum Foundry Cluster for their efforts in identifying quarry. Meeting was attended by prominent foundrymen from Belgaum including Belgaum Foundry Cluster Vice Chairman Shri. Ashok Sadalage, Hon. Secretary Shri. Hemant Latthe and members Shri. Maruti Kono, Shri Madhwa Acharya, Shri. Neminath Kangralkar, Shri. Vijay Lengade, Shri. Prakash Pandit, Shri. Brijmohan Lahoti, Shri. Sanchit Kittur, Shri. Vijay Muchandikar, Shri. C.C. Hondadkatti and many more foundrymen.
